Punjabi No 1

Welcome to Punjabi No 1 in Glasgow

Punjabi No 1 was established 2000 and is a group for children from age 12-18 years. Children from all nationalities are invited to join the group. Punjabi No 1 very much aims to be a multicultural group to portray different music styles, and bring different cultures together.

All performers, singers, and dancers enjoy the group very much. We regularly perform at major events throughout the country, such as Edinburgh Mela (which in 2005 had over 60000 visitors!!), Glasgow Mela, and the World Peace Concert, Glasgow, in September 2006. The group have also toured India and have won awards in India, Scotland and Spain, to name a few Also Munmeet, Rameet & Jaasdeep have been staring on T.V Prog such as SUSPECT, ADDVERTS, MEAT THE CAMBELLS, RAVAN, DOCUMENTARY. ALL ON THE CHANNEL BBC 1, BBC 2, AND CBBC. ROOTED, GANDHI. ALL ON CHANNEL 5. AND ALSO A MILK ADDVERT WICH IS ON ALL CHANNELS AND STILL RUNNING.

 And the biggest Achievement for Munmeet and Rameet Sandhu is they have released an Album called “DILMILDE” and 2 song videos were also made. The album was released in November 2005 in UK and Europe and released in India on March 2006 and it was on Zee music channel and Alpha Etc Punjabi and music channels in India.
